General Election News – Same Old, Same Old….

Much of the same……whoever gets in?

Back in January, I gave my prediction – see below –  and despite the polls; I am sticking to my opinion.

Prediction: Hung Parliament. With Labour, possibly the largest party. Look forward to a coalition government – you may not remember the last one – but it is pretty dire.

When all said and done, despite MP’s huffing and puffing, the great British public gets on with things regardless of what goes on in Westminster.

Don’t be surprised if RS calls a snap May election, just as I go on holiday.

I guess the only saving grace is that we now only have 5 weeks until we know, rather than it being dragged out for another 6 months.

I sense the country wants a change; I understand that – but be careful of what you wish for.

You know what you get with a Conservative government, good or bad, with Labour and KS, I’m not so sure.

One thing is for certain, despite everything, as I noted earlier, the great British public gets on with things regardless of what goes on in Westminster or what the media say.

I’m not sure there is now much between the two main parties, and that will, I guess, lead to Labour winning the election.

There is only one poll that matters, that will be the one where we all vote on 4th July, despite what everyone in the media says or predicts.

The diehards have already made up their minds. The issue will be decided by the floating voters in the marginal seats. It is also inevitable that the gains made by BJ’s election win of 2019 will be eroded.

Will the result make a significant difference to us, the great British public, possibly, but somehow I doubt it, life will go on as it always has?

Despite the hype, I will be keen to see the outcome on the 5th July, if only to establish that the predictions by the pundits are more than likely incorrect – mine included.

However, until then, I think I will just get on with enjoying life, rather than getting my knickers in a twist, like the extremists on social media.
