NHS Waiting List for Transgender Patients Increasing – List! What List?
Reform of NHS Urgently Needed
I’m sorry for those that are missing my Blog, I’m busy writing the third Novel in the CJ Grey Mystery Series. It should be released in May, but I digress.
Today I read that Transgender care waiting lists on the NHS are increasing, and people could face a year-long wait for NHS treatment. And for those waiting this is a ‘death sentence’, says the mother of a trans woman who committed suicide.
I must be missing something. The fact that there is a waiting list on the NHS for this treatment beggars belief.
The NHS in my mind is there to cure illness, treat the dying, and to save lives by undertaking lifesaving operations.
No wonder the waiting lists for these and other treatments like cancer care are so long, especially if the NHS is p*****g away money on non-essential treatments that can be given privately.
Modern technology has provided the world with treatments for virtually anything.
Cosmetic surgery, trans-gender operations, fertility treatment, liposuction, fat reducing operations, all of which are essentially non-life threatening, and to some extent, within your own power to accept, or determine.
If you need these treatments, then save your hard earned money and get them done privately.
Don’t expect, every tax paying citizen to fund your whimsical needs.
Those parents, that are hand wringing and, should perhaps look to themselves, for bringing a life into the world, and for not bringing them up correctly, or with suitable guidance and love.
The other sanctimonious of us should, understand there are more important things in life, that need our finite resources.
The NHS is in need for urgent reform.
As I have said previously, neither the Conservatives who know it should be changed, or Labour who instigated its conception, are prepared to grasp the nettle, and do the radical thing. And until they do, people will die earlier than they should, while someone will eventually look like they really want too, mainly because the precious finances are spent incorrectly, and our services are not put to good use.
