It Wasn’t Me!

While attending the glamorous Ladies’ Day meeting at Yorksbey Racecourse’s Equinox Festival, Charlotte Tate is found standing over a dead body holding the murder weapon. The game finally looks up for the stunning Femme Fatale. She does, however, know who will help her.

CJ Gray, his enigmatic friend, Eden Songe, and his loyal dog Oscar, are drawn into another adventure of murder, blackmail, greed, corruption, lust, and romance.

CJ Meads’ second novel is like the first, an easy read page turner. A light-hearted romantic whodunnit that attempts to please everyone, but maybe not always succeeding. However if you liked the first novel you will also more than likely enjoy this one.

There are plenty of twists and turns in this roller coaster story, with the usual red herrings to throw you off the scent.

Set around Edendale the picturesque North Yorkshire village and nearby Yorksbey, the story takes you from the sunny metropolis of Dubai to the glorious Yorkshire Dales and finally Cornwall.

The story provides an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the escapism, in a novel with something to please most tastes. Then, just when you think you have it all worked out, the final twist, as all good whodunnits, will have you stunned and again leave you longing for the next adventure in Edendale, with CJ Gray and the gang.
