Definitely worth a read
The latest CJ Gray Mystery is now fully available on Amazon.
I recommend the eBook, it’s the cheapest, but if you prefer a proper book, either a Paperback, or a Hardback, all styles are now available.
If you liked the earlier novels, I think you will like this one. However:-
Warning.
This book contains adult humour, very strong language and scenes with sexual content… a bit like life.
The world of football is no bed of roses, and despite the impression offered by TV commentators and pundits of both sexes, it is a world full of foul-mouthed hooligans. That’s not only on the pitch but also off the pitch and most definitely in the boardroom.
As succinctly put by… someone I have long since forgotten…
“Rugby, a hooligan’s game played by gentlemen and football is a gentlemen’s game played by hooligans.”
Don’t say you haven’t been warned….

The novel is an easy read, page turning, light-hearted, whodunnit based on the world of football.

When the rumours surrounding the takeover of Yorksbey Town F.C take hold, suddenly everyone has an interest. Especially as the takeover is supposedly being bankrolled by dirty Middle Eastern money.
Can anything stop the purchase of the club and the ground? Despite local protests and regulatory investigations by the authorities, it seems unlikely.
But is there a sinister secret closer to home that someone is desperate not to become common knowledge that may just scupper the plan?
CJ Gray, his enigmatic partner, Eden Songe, and his loyal dog Oscar, are drawn into another adventure of murder, jealousy, avarice, corruption, lust, romance, and… love.
There are plenty of twists and turns in the usual CJ Gray Mystery story, with an abundance of red herrings to throw you off the scent, but the clues are all there.
The story again provides an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the escapism, in a novel with something to please most tastes. Then, just when you think you may have it all worked out, the final revelation – as all good whodunnits – will have you stunned and again leave you longing for the next adventure in Edendale, with CJ Gray and the gang.
