Channel 4 – Guy Martin’s Power Trip

For those of you who haven’t watched the CH4’s Three-part series Guy Martin’s Power Trip  which started yesterday, all I can do is encourage you to watch it as soon as possible on catch up.

Now I am watching the series as they show it, but as always Guy Martin’s presentation is addictive.

I guess it must be his enthusiasm for all things mechanical.

It is an enlightening programme providing an insight into how power is produced and maintained in the UK.

It is especially worthy as we are all experiencing the highest energy costs ever.

It deals with a subject which could have been extremely dull and boring, in an enjoyable way. With Guy in his own style, managing to bring his usual enthusiasm to the screen while enlightening us with the technical aspect, which I found most rewarding.

No matter what your views on why energy prices are so high, it provides us with a greater understanding of how power is instantly available and something we take for granted, despite over 50% of the world struggle to have in the way we do.

It also makes you realise why are energy costs what it does.

I am looking forward to the next two episodes. I suggest you also watch.
